Kikikickz, a leading platform for reselling rare sneakers, wanted to stand out in the competitive sneaker resale market during the holiday season. Their goal was to create an engaging digital experience that appealed to Gen Z, who increasingly view online shopping as an immersive activity. They partnered with Imrsive to design a one-of-a-kind virtual space where users could browse and purchase limited-edition sneakers in a playful and interactive environment.

Solution

Player One Labs developed a fully immersive e-commerce site inspired by a modernized "ice palace" aesthetic.

  • Immersive and gamified design: Users could explore a photorealistic virtual space, interact with 3D models of rare sneakers, and participate in a daily advent calendar for exclusive discounts and product giveaways.
  • Highlighting exclusivity: Ten rare sneaker models from brands like Nike, Air Jordan, and New Balance, as well as Kikikickz’s Sneakers Obsession book, were showcased.
  • Seamless integration: The platform combined the interactivity of a virtual showroom with the efficiency and reliability of traditional e-commerce, offering fast loading times and smooth navigation.

Results

The immersive site was a resounding success, exceeding industry benchmarks and engaging over 10,000 users during the holiday campaign.

  • 60% reconnection rate, with users returning to the platform.
  • 50% of traffic from direct connections, driven by word-of-mouth.
  • An average of 2.6 visits per user.
  • 20% cart addition rate, significantly above industry standards.
